Network Engineer

Randstad's IT Public Sector team is currently recruiting for a Network Engineer on a daily rate contract role within a prominent Federal Government agency. This is an exceptional chance for individuals seeking to elevate their professional journey and contribute to key government initiatives.

The initial contract term is confirmed until December 31st, 2025, with a high likelihood of an 18-month extension, offering significant long-term potential.

• Contributing towards the design, build, deployment, and support of ICT network solutions.
• Developing and managing WAN/LAN infrastructure for an enterprise using certified methods supported by recognised network accreditations.
• Managing security protocols across physical, wireless and cloud networks as described in the Network Security Expert Certification Program.
• Resolving end user and application issues related to network infrastructure using accredited infrastructure management certification methods.
• Supporting change management activities.
• Contributing towards network testing, patching and quality control.
• Serving as a networking technology Subject Matter Expert (SME) by referencing knowledge available in globally recognised networking accreditations.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a cloud network administrator/engineer or equivalent
• Assist in developing and implementing cloud network architectures that support scalable and secure cloud infrastructure
• Manage CI/CD platforms, utilising infrastructure as code and DevOps for cloud networking.
• Manage Zero Trust Network Access for our clients applications and services.
• Resolving end user and application issues related to cloud infrastructure and networking.
• Support change management activities.
• Serve as a cloud networking technology Subject Matter Expert (SME) by referencing knowledge available in globally recognised network and cloud accreditations.
